The King

This I did with acrylic paint 4 years ago, my freshman year in high school. I really like the mane of the lion, but the face of the lion does not look real. The whiskers are also a little too wide. Other than those two little elements of my painting, this is one of my favorites. I plan on improving the face of the lion sometime in the future. Also, I might add some tall blades of 'African grass' to contrast with the black. What do you think of these ideas? do you like or dislike the painting? why?
